Kawoni Studios is pleased to announce our newest art opportunity - Kawoni in the Classroom!
This quick and simple teacher’s aid is sure to go over well with any class, and supliment an ever increasing lack of art education in our area schools.
Here’s how it works:
Teachers (or principals) contact us to set up a specialized package. (805-804-6312 or )
We work with you to put together an art project specific to your class or event. The possibilities are endless, but two examples would be a geography class creating cultural masks - or - a younger class painting mugs for Mother’s/Father’s Day.
You place your order, and in 5-7 days we show up with materials (generally ready to paint forms and paint).
The children complete their project and everything is returned to the studio for firing. Once fired we return the completed pieces to your school.
Note: For fundraisers the process is similar, but we are happy to work around your project. For example: (1) Tile Wall fundraiser - children solicit donations to buy tiles, they paint the tiles, and the school displays them. (2) Garden of Giving fundraiser - children sell flower pots, collecting money in advance. Once collected they paint the pots and deliver them to sponsors. The possibilities are limitless.
Kawoni ‘Art in a Box’ is completely customizable - and all age appropriate. We can supply either raw clay (earthenware or stoneware) or preformed, pre-fired bisque (which simply needs to be glazed or ‘painted’ by your students and glaze fired). All of our class glazes are certified non-toxic and food safe, and our bisque is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.
