Kawoni quilts are pieced in the traditions of Appalachia, and machine sewn. Due to the time intensity of hand quilting, Apryl Rae offers one large hand quilted piece per year (ordering opens Jan 1st) and is happy to discuss design and pricing year round. Her hand quilted pieces are museum quality and have a stitch average of 15 per inch ( example ). Quilting classes and tutoring are also available.
Quilts come in six sizes: lap (34in x 45in), baby (45in x 60in), twin (68in x 86in), full (86in x 86in), queen (90in x 108in), and king (120in x 124in). Purchase the larger size by choosing the quilt pattern plus the appropriate upgrade add-on.
