Pottery: Each class offers students the opportunity to focus on one hand building technique, with firing and glazing of the created piece included. Clay is available for sale by weight, and we are happy to suggest weights based upon the desired piece. Additional tools are also available for purchase. Register 2 weeks in advance.
Quilting: (all sewing is completed out of class). Students pick from an assortment of quilting patterns and sizes upon registration and receive a materials list. Materials are brought to class and students are taught to cut, piece and quilt. Demonstrations are given, but due to space restraints all sewing must be completed at home. Classes run 60 minutes. Register any time.
Fashion Design: Students learn the basics of design and sewing techniques, which may be applied to either street-ware, formal-ware, or costuming. The unit of classes runs 4 weeks, one class per week, with extra weeks available upon request. Topics of study include designing for the four basic body types, weighted cloth for individual builds, color analysis, ethnic and fusion fashions, and tips for stage costuming. Register 1 week in advance. A general sewing class is available on request.
Bisque Project: Fee based on project, rotated monthly. Students are presented with materials to create a clay piece; including bisque, glaze, metals, etc...depending on project. All materials and services are included in class price, including specialty glazes.
